In a culture that loves youthfulness, Bethany Care Society celebrates aging. The values of choice, quality of life, independence and community are cornerstones of our service. Our continuing care programs, housing properties and service options reflect the changing social, physical, spiritual, emotional and intellectual needs of residents and clients.
Homelike Environment
Through our caring communities, we create a homelike environment by:
- Celebrating the independent spirit of everyone who calls Bethany home
- Including staff and families as partners in care - it's a joint effort that involves the resident whenever possible
- Encouraging families to continue family traditions and to bring furniture, pictures and mementos from home to the care centre
- Providing care and support in activities of daily living
- Tailoring programs and activities to each resident
- Offering community spaces for social activities and family gatherings
- Providing Pastoral Care
- Reflecting in our centres the unique personality of the communities in which we operate
"Bethany is a leader in best practices for continuing care," says Greer Black, President and CEO. "We promote skilled, compassionate care for the whole person - body, mind and spirit."
