Common Areas

Residents have access to all common areas of the centre, including the arts room, music room, community hall and chapel, on-site bistro and a family dining room which can be reserved for private parties. The living areas are designed as residential-style homes featuring living rooms with fireplace. Visiting and resident pets are also welcome at Bethany CollegeSide.

Community

The CollegeSide complex includes community spaces with sitting areas and classrooms for Red Deer College. With a philosophy of “living, learning, caring and sharing,” residents have access to many of the programs, events and amenities offered by Red Deer College.

Chaplain

Bethany Care Society is a faith-based organization and chaplains minister to residents representing a wide diversity of faiths and denominations. This ministry provides spiritual care for residents, families, staff and volunteers. You can access Pastoral Care by contacting the Chaplain’s office at the care centre.

Activities

Bethany CollgeSide offers a wide variety of social and recreation activities on a weekly and monthly basis. While some activities are geared towards helping residents maintain mobility and cognitive abilities, others are just for fun. Special occasions and holidays are also celebrated on a regular basis. We also have a wheel chair accessible bus for outings.

Our recreation program is greatly enhanced through volunteers and family members. If you are interested in volunteering, please visit the volunteer section of this website.

Extra Services

Bethany CollegeSide offers a number of other services that are available at a nominal charge. Some of these services include a hair dresser, a foot care clinic and bistro along with the may services and events available through Red Deer College. On-site laundry services are also available for an additional charge and some recreational day trips may require a fee.
