CEO to Advise on New Health Act

Posted on Friday, April 30, 2010

Greer Black, President & CEO, has been asked to join the provincial Advisory Committee for the Consultation with Albertans on the Report of the Minister’s Advisory Committee on Health. As part of the Government’s action to introduce a new Health Act, the Premier made a commitment to seek public input into the Report of the Minister’s Advisory Committee on Health, released in March 2010. MLA Fred Horne has been tasked with leading this consultation process.  This Advisory Committee has been struck to advise Mr. Horne as he takes on this task. Other members of the Committee include the Registrars of the three major health professional bodies, representatives of the two major universities, and other individuals with varied backgrounds.

“I think this speaks well of Bethany’s recognized leadership in seniors’ services in the province,” said Greta Reiten, Chair, Bethany Care Society Board of Trustees. “It also fits with our role as advocates for seniors and adults with disabilities.”
