The Giving Tree invites you to share the joy of Christmas

(November 18, 2011) The Friends of Bethany Sylvan Lake invite you to The Giving Tree on Saturday, November 19, from 11-4 p.m. at Cobb’s A.G. Food Ltd in Sylvan Lake. The Giving Tree is an opportunity for community members to give a gift for Christmas or a gift of time for residents at Bethany Sylvan Lake.

The Friends of Bethany Sylvan Lake is a community based, volunteer group that has come together to undertake projects to benefit residents of Bethany Sylvan Lake. They are using The Giving Tree as an opportunity for the community to give Christmas gifts to residents in the care centre. The Giving Tree is also an opportunity to raise awareness about BethanySylvan Lake and the volunteer opportunities available at the care centre.
 
“The Giving Tree project is an example of our community working together,” says Pam Krill, Site Manager at Bethany Sylvan Lake. “The Friends of Bethany Sylvan Lake want to make a difference by ensuring residents continue to be connected with their community – it’s all about friends helping friends.”
 
The Giving Tree is located at Cobb’s A.G. Food Ltd in Sylvan Lake from November 19 through December 6, 2011. The Friends of Bethany Sylvan Lake will be at The Giving Tree from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on the following dates.
