Bethany Calgary volunteer Bennie Panero is being recognized in the CTV News segment Inspired. Bennie, who is over 100 years old, volunteers every week with Pastoral Care. To quote Bennie on her volunteer job duties, “I porter the old people to Mass.” Bennie is being recognized as an Inspiring Calgarian and will be featured on the CTV Calgary news. Bennie was interviewed by former news anchor Darrel Janz and when he asked her why she volunteers as much as she does, her response was simple; “I’ve always done it, it’s what I do.”
