Operated in conjunction with Philips Lifeline, Bethany Lifeline is a 24-hour emergency response system. Bethany Lifeline allows clients to call for assistance at the touch of a button.
Bethany Lifeline is used by more than 3000 subscribers in Alberta. Some of these subscribers include:
- Seniors in need of home support
- Persons with disabilities
- Those with medical or safety concerns
- Residents who live in senior apartment buildings, lodges or assisted living
- Victims of domestic conflict
- People recently discharged from or awaiting admission to hospital
- Women who's pregnancies require special care
How Lifeline Works:
Bethany Lifeline uses either a two-way speaker phone or speaker unit. The user carries a help button worn as a wristband or necklace. When the personal help button is pressed, a trained Lifeline staff member responds immediately over the speaker. Lifeline will assesses the situation and send help as needed. Bethany Lifeline operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Bethany Lifeline is installed into your home thanks to a volunteer Home Service Representative.
For an on-line demonstration, visit Philips Lifeline.
